Influences often arrive early in our childhood and it seems inevitable. When you see your father riding his own motorcycle, you somehow develop an admiration toward motorcycling which can either stay or get lost along the way while you grow up.
Luckily, Aaron Dizon managed to keep his passion for motorcycle as he grew up riding a Suzuki Shotgun that his father owned since he was just 9 years old up until the motorcycle finally gave up. He and his brother got a brand new Yamaha Mio 125 -- a scooter type motor bike with fully automatic transmission and belt driven -- which they used for several years. After around 2 years of riding a fully automatic motor bike, the brothers were looking for something different and they decided to swap the bike to a Honda TMX Supremo 150 2013 model. The TMX Supremo 150 is the successor of the great Honda TMX 155 with improved body design and was launched in 2012. At last some difference for the brothers. What could be more exciting than to learn how to drive a fully manual transmission with manual clutch system triggered when you squeeze the left handle lever and a manual shifter which is operated by the left foot?
Only several months old, the bike was up for something exciting. Aaron has fascination in old and classic things, not just motorcycles, and with that, he decided to transform the bike into a cafe racer with ideas he got from youtube videos and some photos online. He chose cafe racer because for him, it is just so appealing and looks classy. He follows Jericho Rosales who is an enthusiast and a collector. Jericho also has a VLOG which Aaron got fond of watching and with that, he found that Scramblers are so appealing too. With a new set of off-road tires and a new handlebar he rebuilt his motorcycle from cafe racer to scrambler.
It is amazing how people around us and those who we look up to can affect our lives in many aspects. Aaron, in the same way, was inspired by the people he look up to, people like Jericho Rosales, Kuya Kim Atienza, Ryan Agoncillo, Jay Contreras & Ely Buendia but, the people whom he gets to get along with have greater impacts on him, people like his friends, fellow motorcycle builders and riders and most specially, his family.
Aaron is now 22 years old, lives in Sta. Ana, Pampanga, and was about to ride a cruise ship for a job but the COVID-19 pandemic striked. He is managing his own shop where he built his TMX turned café racer turned scrambler for 4 months.
